The Mississippi Forge Council is excited to announce our 2026 Blacksmithing Conference, a three-day celebration of craftsmanship and tradition. Join us for a weekend of sparks, skill-sharing, and community at the historic Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum.
Event Highlights
Featured Demonstrator: We are honored to welcome
Russell Colvin
of Iron Mountain Flux, he is well known in the farrier community but it's also a very artistic blacksmith
Location: The event will be held at the MS Ag Museum Blacksmith Shop and the adjacent Pavilion in Jackson, MS.
Forge Traditions: We will have our Blacksmith’s TOOLBOX raffle—please see below for a dropdown list of items you can contribute. We would also encourage you to bring items for the Auction on Sunday, to help support our future events..
Schedule & Dates
April 17th & 18th (Friday & Saturday): Hands-on blacksmithing classes and specialized demonstrations. Class details and registration will be announced soon!
April 19th (Sunday): Final demonstrations and community forging.
Important Attendee Information
Parking: All visitors should park at the Sparkman Auditorium lot on the museum grounds.
Accessibility: The venue offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking for all guests.
