We have just been informed that the new roof for the blacksmith shop has been ordered.

Also; we will be receiving a quote from Gene Mulloy on 10 new side draft hoods for our forges. These work great taking the smoke and coal dust from the building. Won't it be nice to breathe clean air during our classes and demos? We may get the parts from Gene and weld them ourselves, depends on the cost. Ideally we can install the side drafts and the new stacks at the same time the roof is being replaced. We will definitely need help, keep tuned.

Also; Charlie Dixon has offered us the use of the room behind the blacksmith shop that now houses the grist mill. This will give us the opportunity to have a much better storage area and an area to gather for classes and such.

With all the input from our active members and this kind of support from the Ag Museum, where can we go from here?

Keep checking this site for more information, I will pass it along as soon as I have it.
