ELECTION RESULTS

Election Results

Lots of things going on these days so let’s start with the  recent election of officers. We have a very strong group of active members willing to pitch in and do what is needed to keep the MFC moving forward. Thanks to all of you for your time, energy and friendship.

The new president of the MFC is Ed Bennett. Ed takes the helm from Bill Pevey who has honorably served the group for the last five years. Thanks for the leadership and energy Bill, you done good. Mr. Bennett, thank you for accepting this position, you know you have a good group backing you up and we are looking forward to more good times ahead.

Ardell Hinton is our new Vice-President. Ardell is a talented artist with a whimsical eye. She will be working with Ernie Dorrill and Stacy Stegall scheduling our meeting demonstrators and conference coordination. Thanks Ardell, we appreciate you.

Patti Mitchell has taken on the responsibility of Treasurer. She is relieving Jon McIntosh of the check book. Jon served us well for three years after committing to only one year. Thanks for all your work Jon, we hope your surgeries go well and you are back at the forge soon. Patti has her own advertising business, she designed and printed the dragon posters for our conference, her experience here will be a real advantage for us.

Bill Pevey, past president, is now our Secretary, he just can’t get enough of the forge smoke so he is jumping from the skillet to the fire. Thanks Bill, we are a better group because of you. He will also be involved with arranging demonstrators for our  classes, meetings and conferences.

At-Large board members are Lyle Wynn and Stacy Stegall. Stacy has served as Treasurer and Lyle has always done whatever needed plus much more. Thank you very much for giving so much to the group.

There is one more change in the board make up. Now our editor is an officer of the MFC , just an ego thing for the editor.

The position of ‘Oracle’ has been claimed by Ernie Dorrill, ask him about it.

As a group we all owe these people a big ‘thank you’ for their willingness to volunteer their time for the benefit of the Mississippi Forge Council.
